Three Blondes

This is sooo California! This photo to me is like million year old insect encased in amber.

What a wonderful description!! That's how I feel about my old photos, too. When my grandfather asked me what I'd like of his when he dies, I said "photos." I'll scan them and give copies to all my relatives. These memories are more precious than gold.

Well put Vanda. As an aside, I just heard yesterday that poloroid film is now a thing of the past, and it's selling for a mint on Ebay.

Poloroid film cost a fortune before digital imaging.

Check out the new tract homes behind the blondes. My first home was part of a brand new tract. My father did all the landscaping. That photo makes me happy but the oil post card makes me absolutely giddy.

I'm glad I still have few boxes of polaroid at home, I love this kind of photo!

Thanks for the kind words y'all.

Not all polaroids are created equal. There is the cheapy polaroid, you know where the image comes out at front. You can still buy film for those at Costco, at least you could this summer. There are other, more sophisticated polaroids too. Back when I was in school and we were doing studio photography with medium format camera, we used matching polaroid for proof before shooting the negative. Those ones cost a couple of bucks a pop.

The good thing about digital photography that it is cheaper, and you don't have to have access to a photo lab to do your own printing.
